A little chocolate. A lot of gratitude.

Some causes are particularly close to your heart. For us at T-Cakes Bakehouse, neonatal care is one of them.

We're incredibly proud to be supporting Ickle Pickles Children's Charity by sending handmade brownies to neonatal units across the UK, as a little thank you to the incredible people who care for some of the tiniest and most vulnerable babies.

Why it means so much to us

In 2024, my daughter Roxy began her life in neonatal intensive care.

She underwent three days of cooling therapy, and it was a whole week before I was finally able to hold her for the first time.

It's difficult to put into words what it's like watching your newborn baby receive intensive care, wanting nothing more than to scoop them up and hold them close.

But throughout that experience, there were people looking after her, monitoring her and giving her the care she needed.

Those people made an enormous difference to our family.

And it's something I'll never forget.

A little thank you, one brownie at a time

Through our partnership with Ickle Pickles, T-Cakes Bakehouse is committed to sending boxes of our handmade Triple Chocolate Brownies to neonatal teams across the UK.

Our aim is to support two neonatal units each month, with the longer-term ambition of reaching around 50 units.

We know that a box of brownies can't begin to repay the work these teams do.

But sometimes a little treat, a moment to sit down and something delicious to share with colleagues can be a lovely reminder that their hard work is seen and appreciated.

And if our brownies can bring even a small smile to somebody during a demanding shift, that's something worth baking for.
